Background

Janice's interest in food led her to take classes at the London Cordon Bleu while living in London.

She decided to pursue a career in food once she returned and started work as a chef in Minneapolis at the acclaimed 510 Restaurant.  She then joined a partner in starting a catering company and later a small dining operation, Center Cuisine.

Janice headed in a new direction becoming the director of the Kitchen Window Cooking School in Minneapolis working with and learning from many of the country's great chefs that came in to teach.

She started her freelance career developing recipes for food companies, magazines and other publications.  At the same time she began food styling and consulting.
